Genetics and nervous system functioning

Neuroscience study the structure and functioning of the nervous system. The organization of the neurons occurs through the neuronal circuits and neuronal systems. The neural systems have three functions (Parves, Augustine, Fitzpatrick, Hall, LaMantia, White, Neuroscience, Sinauer Associates Inc).
The sensory system processes the information obtained from the environment. The motor system organizes information and generates actions. The associative system connects the sensory system and the motor system to generate higher functions, such as language.
Genetic analysis is fundamental to understanding the organization, operation and development of the nervous system. DNA provides instructions for the structure and functioning of the brain.
The alteration of certain genes can explain the appearance of some neurological diseases. Genetic mutations can cause alterations in brain development and the appearance of rare diseases.
The study of genetic sequences can not, however, explain brain function and disease processes. Biology, anatomy and physiology of nerve cells are also fundamental (Parves, Augustine, Fitzpatrick, Hall, LaMantia, White, Neuroscienze, Sinauer Associates Inc).
